Celestron CPC 800

The CPC 800 is Celestron's serious consumer GoTo Schmidt-Cassegrain — an 8-inch SCT on a GPS-aligned fork-arm alt-azimuth GoTo mount. At 2032mm focal length and f/10, planetary and lunar views are exceptional. The full system weighs around 18kg assembled — this is not a grab-and-go telescope. It earns its keep as a permanently set-up observatory instrument or for observers who are willing to carry heavier kit for GoTo pointing. The OTA can be removed and placed on an equatorial wedge for long-exposure astrophotography.
