The 102mm Maksutov is where the Mak-Cas format starts to show its real capabilities. Aperture enough to resolve the Cassini Division in Saturn's rings reliably, show Jupiter's cloud bands with definition, and split close double stars. The sealed tube design eliminates collimation entirely and the closed optics are more resistant to dewing than a Newtonian.
