Vaonis Stellina
A fully integrated smart telescope that trades visual observing and aperture for a polished, app-controlled deep-sky imaging experience in a weatherproof package.

What you'll see
The Stellina is an imaging-only telescope — there is no eyepiece, so every observation is a live-stacked photograph on your phone or tablet. With its 80mm f/5 apochromatic optic and integrated Sony sensor, the system captures surprisingly detailed colour images of extended deep-sky objects after just a few minutes of stacking. The wide 400mm focal length delivers a generous field of view well suited to large targets.
The Orion Nebula fills the frame with vivid structure; the Andromeda Galaxy appears with its full extent including hints of dust lanes; the Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae sit comfortably in the same field. Open clusters like the Pleiades and Double Cluster are rendered with pinpoint stars and rich colour. Emission nebulae such as the Rosette, North America, and Heart Nebula respond well to extended stacking sessions. Smaller and fainter galaxies like M51 and M101 are detectable but limited in detail by the 80mm aperture.
Planetary and lunar imaging is the Stellina's weakest area. The 80mm aperture and short focal length cannot resolve Cassini Division on Saturn, Jupiter's finer cloud bands, or meaningful Martian surface detail. The Moon can be captured but at low magnification relative to dedicated planetary setups. The system excels at wide-field deep-sky targets and is best understood as an automated astrophotography platform rather than a general-purpose telescope.
